Healthy Soil = Healthy Food = Healthy People

The Living Earth Expo 2026 brings together a wide range of practical, locally relevant solutions under one roof. The event places a strong focus on healthy food, regenerative agriculture, and resilient farming systems.

Taking place from 17 to 18 April at Dagbreek School in Windhoek it is unlike traditional agricultural events that focus mainly on industrial inputs. The Living Earth Expo highlights a different approach: one that works with nature, reduces costs over time, and improves both soil health and human health.

Visitors can expect a diverse mix of exhibitors and innovative ideas at the event. Organic and regenerative farmers will demonstrate how food can be grown profitably with fewer external inputs, while showcasing practical water-smart soluti

ons tailored to Namibia’s dry climate, including efficient irrigation and advanced soil moisture retention methods.

The exhibition will also highlight renewabl

e energy applications suitable for both farms and rural households, alongside natural health and nutrition approaches directly linked to food production. In addition, visitors will discover local processing and value-addition techniques that help farmers significantly increase their income beyond selling raw produce.

The Expo is designed not only for commercial farmers, but also for small-scale producers, households, schools, and young people looking for practical ways to grow food, improve nutrition, and create income opportunities.

A key theme running through the event is the idea that healthy soil leads to healthy food, and healthy food leads to healthy people. This message is increasingly supported by both science and global agricultural trends.

Namibia, with its arid climate and strong farming culture, is uniquely positioned to benefit from regenerative approaches that improve water retention, reduce dependency on expensive inputs, and build long-term resilience.

The event is expected to attract farmers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, educators, and families. It will create a space where knowledge can be shared across sectors and generations.

With growing interest in non-toxic food, local production, and climate-resilient agriculture, the Living Earth Expo reflects a broader shift already underway in Namibia and across Africa.
